From about 195 million years ago to about 136 million years ago, large dinosaurs flourished during the Mesozoic Era/Jurassic Era. It was a time when Stegosaurus is a typical dinosaur of this Jurassic period. It is 4 to 9 meters long and weighs around 2 tons. It is a type of dinosaur called a stegosaur, and its distinctive feature was that it had two rows of large, diamond-shaped bone plates arranged alternately from just behind the head to the middle of the tail. It also had two pairs of sharp spines at the tip of its tail. They were herbivorous, and these bony plates and spines were thought to protect them from attacks by carnivorous dinosaurs. The brain was extremely small compared to the body, and although there were clusters of nerves in the shoulders and hips that supplemented the brain's functions, their movements seemed to be slow.

This is a 1/35 scale plastic model assembly kit that reproduces the Stegosaurus, with its eye-catching large bone plates lined up on its back.
