The Royal Navy's Admiralty V class, which established the basic style of modern destroyers. When World War II broke out, she was deployed to the Far East and participated in the Battle of Malaya in December 1941. She rescued the crew of the sunken battlecruiser Repulse, until she sank off the coast of Ceylon in April of the following year.

This is a 1/700 scale, 136mm plastic model assembly kit of the Australian Navy destroyer Vampire. The layout of the tubes, which was said to be epoch-making at the time of its construction, has been precisely reproduced.★
