The Spitfire, which fought hard as the main fighter of the Royal Air Force during World War II, has a beautiful oval main wing and a slim body. The fuselage was much more sophisticated in terms of structure and aerodynamics than contemporary fighters, and it was equipped with the famous Rolls-Royce Merlin liquid-cooled engine. The prototype aircraft made its first flight in March 1936, and the first mass-produced Mk.I began deployment in August 1938. In the Battle of Britain in the summer of 1940, when Britain faced a crisis of national survival, the Mk.I served as the core of the fighter squadron, protecting Britain from the onslaught of the Luftwaffe. The Luftwaffe suffered heavy losses and decided to postpone the British invasion indefinitely. Due to this success, the Spitfire became known as the ``fighter to save the nation'' by the British public.

[British small military vehicle 10HP Tilly]

During World War II, the British military used various types of pickup truck-type military vehicles that borrowed the chassis from passenger cars. These small military vehicles were called light utility cars. Several companies developed and produced the car based on their own designs, but regardless of the manufacturer or model, it was affectionately known as Tilly by soldiers and soldiers. It was usually rear-wheel drive with an engine of about 30 horsepower. In the latter half of the war, front-line duties were handed over to jeeps, but they continued to run until the end of the war, being frequently used for liaison missions behind the front lines and at air bases.

This is a 1/48 scale plastic model assembly kit that includes a Spitfire Mk.I and a 10HP Tilly.
