The Bismarck was, along with the Tirpitz, the largest battleship in World War II. The 251 m long ship was put into service on August 24, 1940. After completing the training trips, she took part in the Rheinübung company. She sank the British battle cruiser HMS Hood in a sea battle off Greenland on May 24, 1941. The Bismarck, which had damage to its bow, then set course for a French port. While being pursued by British ships and aircraft, the ship was disabled on May 27, 1941 and sank in the Atlantic. Finely structured components with rivets and recessed sheet metal joints authentically represent this impressive battleship. Other features of the kit include the movable gun turrets, with individual movable tubes.
