The wooden push along ladybird is great gift for a toddler. They love to push it in front of them or pull it behind them, as they walk. The wooden beads on the wheels hit each other as children push the toy along making a sound as they move the toy along.

While our toddlers are having fun with this wooden toy, they are developing their gross motor and fine motor skills. The wooden toy encourages them to be mobile. Toddlers will develop their fine motor skills by holding on to the rod with their hand.  They will develop their gross motor skills by pushing the wooden toy in front of them or pulling it behind them. While pushing or pulling (which are 2 different type of skills), toddlers develop an awareness of their environment.

We have other push along's that feature animals. They include the lion, cow, bee, monkey and pig.

The rod is actually a separate piece. It screws into the back of the ladybird.
